if it makes you feel better about your ship, thor and loki aren’t actually brothers i mean in the marvel universe they’re both the sons of odin and frigga but in the actual mythology as you can see above, thor is the son of odin and jord, and loki is the son of laufey and faurbati. odin is loki’s cousins’ son, making odin loki’s first cousin once removed. thus thor, odin’s son, is loki’s first cousin twice removed (cousin’s grandson) just so you know your ship became much less freaky and much more socially accepted within antiquated western taboos
